Join Sharon M and members of the Miami Valley Outdoor Club for a brisk Tuesday hike at Taylorsville MetroPark. This fast-paced hike through hilly wooded terrain and along the Great Miami River lasts about an hour. Hike begins promptly at 4:20 so that everyone can finish before dark. Meet at the parking lot near the CCC shelter off Route 40.
About Taylorsville MetroPark: Taylorsville MetroPark contains exceptional examples of mature upland forest with many spring wildflowers, second growth woodlands, natural succession areas, a few aging pine stands, a few managed grasslands, and extensive floodplain forests along the Great Miami River Corridor.
“ The fast pace was really challenging for me, especially with the snow and ice. I was really exhausted at the end. Obviously other regulars on this hike are in better shape than I am. ”
“ Fast! Conditions were challenging with ice and snow remaining on most of the trail. Our leader Sharon set a blistering pace that I had fun with. Enjoyed the challenge. ”
“ Great hike and fun group. John- Congratulations! You got the loop done in 59 minutes- Awesome!
Everyone seems to be getting into better condition. It continues to be fun watching everyone challenge themselves. David, thanks for leading the second loop. Hope to see you all next week. ”
