Join Sharon M and members of the Miami Valley Outdoor Club for a brisk Tuesday hike at Taylorsville MetroPark. This is a fast-paced hike through hilly wooded terrain and along the Great Miami River. The Hike begins promptly at 4:20pm. We will be completing the ~4 mile loop with detour in about 1 hour. Meet at the parking lot near the CCC shelter off Route 40. We will be completing a 2nd loop on the orange trail starting around 5:30pm. Meeting at the CCC shelter. This loop will be at a moderate pace. Generally taking about 70-75 minutes to complete the 3.4 mile loop. These are conditioning hikes.
About Taylorsville MetroPark: Taylorsville MetroPark contains exceptional examples of mature upland forest with many spring wildflowers, second growth woodlands, natural succession areas, a few aging pine stands, a few managed grasslands, and extensive floodplain forests along the Great Miami River Corridor.

“ Fun night and great group. Weather was great and the trails were pretty good overall. It was great seeing other Dayton Hikers on the trail too. Don't forget to go to Metroparks website and complete the Taylorsville Trail survey. We need to continue to advocate for trails to be available with elevation changes for conditioning.
Thanks! ”
