I like to be connected to other hikers and backpackers in The Outdoor Adventure Capital of the Midwest!
Do you enjoy backpacking or day hiking or both?
I enjoy backpacking and when I can't spend the night out I will grab a day hike here or there especially out west.
What do you enjoy most about backpacking or day hiking?
I like to be in the mountains, see things that are off the beaten path, and get that feeling of remoteness from being in the wilderness.
Where are your favorite areas for hiking in the Dayton area?
The Twin Valley Trail in Germantown and Twin Creek MetroParks.
Where are your favorite areas for backpacking or hiking outside of the Dayton area?
Glacier National Park, Montana; Sequoia and Kings Canyon NP, California; Grand Canyon, North Cascades, Western North Carolina, Green Mountains of Vermont, White Mountains of New Hampshire, Oregon Coast, Denali in Alaska...and many more.
