I enjoy both, but my preference is for 2 night backpacking trips.
What do you enjoy most about backpacking or day hiking?
The planning aspect, and trying to get by with what you have on your back. Also, there is always something new to learn to make your next trip that much more enjoyable or comfortable.
Where are your favorite areas for hiking in the Dayton area?
German Town/Twin Creek - 5 rivers metro parks.
Where are your favorite areas for backpacking or hiking outside of the Dayton area?
Michigan: North Manitou Island, Jordan River Valley foot path, Hoist Lakes(North East Mich). Red River Gorge.
