I bought an REI quarter dome T1 tent and it's too small for my liking. Us girls need indoor space! :>
It has only been set up once in my backyard -- never used at all for camping. Here is the link to the item: http://www.rei.com/pr... I'm including the footprint (an extra $20 purchase) along with the tent. selling price $175 cash -- pick up in Union KY or if we should hike together, i'd gladly bring it to you. Just thought I would offer it to fellow backpackers before paying return shipping to REI. Kelly |

I own this tent and it is FANTASTIC. It is cleverly designed with a great side entrance. Both flaps can be staked out to make a roomy vestibule. It is very well ventilated, and stays oh-so-dry. In the morning, when my friends wake up in a puddle, I am quite comfortable. It even kept me dry when the sky dumped 4" of rain overnight. It is free-standing and could not be any easier to assemble, with shock-corded and color-coded poles. It is quite light and sturdy. I don't think you could save any weight except possibly with a bivy.. and who wants a bivy when you can enjoy the luxury of this tent? The tent body is almost totally mesh, aside from the bathtub floor, so it is extremely comfortable in summer. There are two mesh pockets inside. I like being able to sit up in it!
However, my friends do tease me because it is so tiny. I'm 5'3" and slender, so the size is perfect for me. Just an FYI- if you want to buy it, be sure you fit! |

Hi Heather,
Can you tell me the Make and Model of your tent? It sounds to be what I'm looking for--especially with regard to keeping the rain out. Thank you, David |

David,
I was the one selling the tent but I just sent it back before Xmas. Sorry I forgot to remove the discussion. Kelly |
